Powering the Circular Economy

Resource regeneration: a vital cog in the circular economy

A circular economy is system based on the reuse and regeneration of materials or products, especially as a means of continuing production in a sustainable or environmentally friendly way. A circular economy is in contrast to a linear economy where commodities move in one from, from extraction to waste.

The role of resource regeneration in the circular economy

In a world of finite resources, the adoption of circular industries is critical for a sustainable future. Sircel was created to be a critical enabler of the circular economy for electronics – turning e-waste into e-resources and directing the recovered green resources back into manufacturing.

Despite a lot of conversation about the value of circular economies, we need legislation, community expectation and business leadership to all call for greater transparency and greater speed of change.

Sircel is pleased to be a Gold Member of Circular Australia and an active participant in relevant industry taskforces and events.
We frequently engage with Government at all levels, as well as business and industry leaders to advocate for change to further embrace circular economy principles.
