Best in class accreditation and compliance
Sircel is up to date and compliant with all International Standards for Organisations (ISO) credentials relevant and necessary to the e-waste, waste management, and recycling sectors to ensure we carry out our duties in a safe, secure, and environmentally sustainable manner.
Our credentials
The current credentials held for the recycling, remarketing, receiving, sorting, dismantling, refurbishment, and destruction of electronic equipment include:
- R2v3 (at Villawood, 82 Marple Avenue)
Established by Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI), R2 certification stands for “Responsible Recycling” and is a global standard for ethical, best-practice recycling of electronics. R2v3 is about managing a secure downstream process, which ensures any device with data on it is tracked and accounted for, right through to end of life (destruction).
- ASNZS 5377: Management of Electrical and Electronic Equipment For Re-Use Or Recycling
This management system was developed by Australia and New Zealand’s respective environmental departments in order to tackle the growing e-waste generation problem by standardising and co- ordinating the management and recycling of electrical equipment within and between the two countries.
- ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management System
This management system specifies OH&S requirements and standards with the goal of minimising the number of on-site injuries and diseases, as well as physical and mental health problems arising from negligible working conditions.
- ISO 9001: Quality Management Control
The purpose of this standard is to ensure that all products and services are carried out in a way that meets their clients and stakeholders expectations. It does this by following a number of quality assurance principles including customer-centric approaches, implication of top-level management in the front-end operations, and commitments for continual improvement.
- ISO 14001: Environmental Management System
ISO 14001 is put in place to help organisations minimise the adverse effect that their operations have on the environment. This includes the management of pollutants (air, water, ground, noise, light etc.), use of toxic substances, and biodegradability of products and packaging.
